EGAS Signs Two Side Agreements with Ercuys to Boost Offshore Gas Activities

As part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to strengthen cooperation with international partners, advance exploration and production efforts, and maximize the utilization of natural gas resources, two new side agreements were signed between the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Ercuys during the activities of EGYPS 2026, supporting the development of offshore concession areas.

The first agreement included amendments to certain terms of the commitment agreement for the North El Tabya offshore block, while the second agreement covered amendments to several provisions of the El Borouj offshore agreement. These amendments aim to improve the investment climate and enhance operational efficiency in the respective concession areas.

The agreements were signed by Eng. Sayed Selim, Executive Managing Director of EGAS, and Eng. Amer Al Yafei, Chairman of EIOX.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Samir Raslan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum for Agreements and Exploration, along with a number of EGAS officials, underscoring the importance of these agreements in supporting petroleum sector activities, advancing sustainable development plans, and increasing natural gas production from promising offshore areas.
