The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), led by Eng. Sayed Selim, Executive Managing Director, welcomed a high-level delegation from BGP, headed by Mr. Ren Yongjun, Chairman of the Board, to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation in support of Egypt’s petroleum sector.

During the meeting, BGP highlighted its position as one of the world’s leading geophysical services companies, showcasing its advanced technologies and integrated solutions across exploration, field development, and production. The company also reviewed its contributions to Egypt’s petroleum sector over the past seven years, particularly through the execution of onshore and offshore seismic acquisition projects and the successful deployment of Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) technology, which has significantly enhanced seismic data quality and improved the accuracy of subsurface geological imaging.

The discussions also explored new opportunities for collaboration in several strategic areas, including advanced seismic technologies, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, production optimization, and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) applications, reflecting both parties’ commitment to adopting innovative technologies that support sustainable growth across the energy sector.

BGP reaffirmed its readiness to further strengthen its partnership with EGAS by leveraging its global expertise and advanced technological capabilities to support exploration and production activities in Egypt.

    The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming  their shared commitment to deepening their long-term strategic cooperation in line with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ vision to maximize the value of Egypt’s petroleum resources, enhance operational efficiency, and increase crude oil and natural gas production.
