The Minister of Petroleum Witnesses the Signing of Contract between BP and Valaris on Drilling Five New Gas Wells in the Mediterranean

Karim Badawi , Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, witnessed the Signing Contract between bp and Valaris Limited on Drilling Five offshore Gas Wells in the Mediterranean, in its concession areas in the Mediterranean Sea, at water depths ranging from 300 to 1,500 meters, using Valaris #DS-12 drillship.
Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, asserted that BP is one of the most significant strategic partners of Egypt’s petroleum sector in gas production domain . He pointed out that the company’s recent gas production projects in the Mediterranean Sea have been pivotal steps that contributed to increasing domestic gas output and securing new resources during the peak consumption period in the summer season.
