Unscheduled Visit by EGAS Chairman to El Wastani Petroleum Company

As part of efforts to support production increase plans and closely monitor ongoing operations, Eng. Mahmoud Abdel Hamid, Executive Managing Director of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), accompanied by the Vice Chairmen for Production & Field Development and Operations, conducted an unscheduled visit to El Wastani Petroleum Company to review the execution status of the company’s drilling and production projects.

During the visit, Eng. Mahmoud Abdel Hamid, together with Eng. Hazem Hafez, Chairman of El Wastani Petroleum Company, and the company’s management team, reviewed the progress of the work program for drilling new gas wells in the Delta area, which includes the drilling of 11 wells. The current drilling plan was also discussed, with results from the first four drilled wells presented, showing positive indicators that reflect the success of technical studies and contribute to increasing gas production rates.

The future exploration plan was also reviewed, supported by recent geological and geophysical studies, enhancing the potential for achieving new discoveries and supporting production sustainability over the medium and long term.

In addition, the current production status was reviewed, along with the increases achieved through recompletion activities in productive layers, contributing to maximizing the utilization of existing wells and improving asset efficiency without additional investment burdens.

In another context, Eng. Mahmoud Abdel Hamid discussed with the company’s leadership the challenges facing the implementation of drilling and production plans, reaffirming EGAS’s continued support and close coordination to overcome obstacles and achieve targeted production objectives.
