Establishing EGAS
The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) established to oversee and manage all activities related to Egypt’s natural gas industry.
These activities span the full value chain, from agreements, drilling, exploration, production development, as well as processing, transportation, distribution in domestic market, and liquefaction of natural gas, in addition to managing related facilities and infrastructure.
Driven by Egypt Vision 2030 and the Petroleum Sector’s strategic objectives, EGAS continues to implement effective development plans that enhance the utilization of Egypt’s natural gas resources. These efforts contribute to strengthening the national economy, supporting energy security, and reinforcing Egypt’s role as a regional energy hub.

- Maintain a strategy of innovation and growth.
- Continue issuing Bid Round, signing Concession Agreements and applying applications of state of art technology in all Exploration processes.
- Increase natural gas proven reserves to meet all obligations that fulfill local market demand and export commitments.
- Increase Annual Production to manage Supply Vs Demand requirements.
- Create Infrastructure and optimize Facilities Utilization.
- Project Management aiming cost optimization and effective schedule.
- Maximize applying the Value Added Projects.
- Establishing new specialized companies in the area of Drilling, Engineering & Marine vessels
- Expand Egyptian Natural Gas Grid to meet the targeted projects and develop new communities.
