The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is celebrating International Women's Day 2020 today as an annual tradition of the company, at a time when our beloved country, Egypt, enjoys stability, security, and safety, which has contributed to the clear successes and achievements of Egyptian women working in the petroleum sector, with great interest from Mr. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and under the patronage of Mr. Osama El Bakly, Chairman of the Board, and in the presence of a large number of esteemed deputies and company assistants, Mr. Hamdy Abdel Aziz, media advisor to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Mr. Mohamed Gabr, Chairman of the General Union of Petroleum Workers, and Mr. Mohamed Seddik, Chairman of the Union Committee at EGAS, and under the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Gouda, Assistant to the Vice President of the company and supervisor of administrative affairs, who confirmed that one of the pillars of economic development is empowering women in the workplace, which is what the 2030 Women Empowerment Strategy emphasizes.
The event this year witnessed the honoring of several successful models in their fields of work, including girls and women in the oil sector and society, there are those who have achieved great success and received international accolades in numerous forums during their contributions to the production process and in successful mega-projects. They have also proven their competence in holding leadership positions within and outside the sector. The oil sector always supports these exemplary role models... The ceremony began with honoring Ms. Mona Abdel Fattah Khodair, Vice President of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company for Internal Trade, Ms. Magda Abdel Ghani Tantawi, Assistant to the CEO of the Authority for Media and Supervisor of the General Administration of Media at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (formerly), Ms. Soha Kamal El-Din, Assistant to the Company President for the General Secretariat of the Board of Directors and Media at the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company, Ms. Sana Fahmy Qotb, Assistant to the Deputy CEO of the Authority for Public and Government Relations at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Ms. Mervat Ahmed Hanafi Khalil, General Director of Administrative Affairs at PetroAmir, and Ms. Nevin Mohamed Sami "Ismail, General Director of Media at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
The equestrian / Maryam Adel Azab, who won the gold medal at the Special Olympics for equestrian in Dubai, and the swimmer / Lubna Mustafa Mahmoud, the world and Arab champion in swimming.
While the esteemed attendees praised the excellent organization and commendable coordination by the Public Relations, Social Services, Information Systems, Communications, and Support Services departments of the company for their efforts in presenting the event in an honorable manner, as is customary for the celebrations of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company.
