Eng. Yassin Mohamed, the Executive Managing Director of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), has inspected the fields of the Pharaonic Petroleum Company (PhPC) in Port Said.
Mohamed outlined the necessity of the environmental compatibility in the petroleum projects and the commitment to the laws and regulations keening on applying environmentally sustainable practices.
During the visit, Eng. Hossam Zaki, Chairman of PhPC explained the company’s plan for increasing the production and expand through the current projects and the promising future exploration opportunities.
They discussed the latest development of Harmattan field in the North of El Borg concession area and the promising opportunities at Atoll gas field which is one of the important explorations in addition to how to accelerate the development of Osiris field.
The Managing Director also paid a visit to the production units during which he praised the followed procedures to ensure employees safety and environment protection. He highlighted the importance of taking care of the workers and their efficiencies.
Mohamed stressed the need of applying the latest technologies and finding unconventional ways to cultivate the sustainable development programs. For his part Ahmed El Komy, the General Manager at PhPC and the representative of bp company, said that the partners’ investments in PhPC amounted to $3 billion since its establishment.
Eng. Yassin Mohamed was accompanied during the tour by the company’s Vice President for Production and Field Development, Eng. Mohamed Rushdy, the company’s Assistant President for Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Protection, Dr. Chemist Ashraf Ramadan, and the company’s Assistant President for the Technical Office, Special Projects and Operations Safety, Eng. Moataz Atef.
