EGAS Follows Up with Petrobel on Enhancing Infrastructure Supporting Zohr Field Production
Engineer Sayed Selim, Executive Managing Director of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), held a meeting with Engineer Tharwat El-Gendy, Chairman of Petrobel, in the presence of senior officials from both companies, to review the progress of ongoing projects and explore opportunities to maximize production across the company’s various fields.
During the meeting, the current status of activities and projects related to the infrastructure supporting gas production from the Zohr Field was reviewed. This included works aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the field’s offshore pipelines, in addition to the development and upgrading of the gas processing system through the Floating Processing Unit (FPU) project, which supports sustainable production and improves operational efficiency.
The meeting also reviewed available opportunities to maximize production from Petrobel’s onshore and offshore fields, emphasizing the importance of accelerating the implementation of projects with strong technical and economic feasibility in order to achieve the targets of the current phase.
During the meeting, Engineer Sayed Selim affirmed EGAS’s commitment to providing all necessary technical support to Petrobel, as well as facilitating and accelerating procedures and ensuring the availability of required resources, in order to expedite project implementation and enhance production within a framework of integrated cooperation.
The meeting, which was held at Petrobel’s headquarters, was attended by Engineer Abdel Nasser Khafagy, Vice President of EGAS for Production and Field Development. From Petrobel’s side, the meeting was also attended by the company’s general managers responsible for operations and projects, along with several senior company officials.
